What do cookies look like?
Cookies and other tracking technologies (web beacons (single-pixel GIF images), scripts, and activity tags (which we collectively refer to as "cookies") are small text files that are usually stored on your hard drive, the user's computer, or browser. They enable websites to remember information about the user's visits to a given website. We use device identifiers and advertising identifiers similar to cookies for mobile websites and mobile applications.
What types of cookies are applied on our website, and for what purposes?
We use "first party cookies," which are those used only by us or by third-party partners who only act on our instructions or our behalf. These cookies are used for our own analysis of our Sites or to provide functionality such as remembering language preferences.
Other cookies on our Website are accepted both by us for the purposes described in this policy and by third-party partners to combine information from our Sites with information from other parties to improve their service. Such cookies can be used to create personalized advertisements.
Cookies that are used on our Sites by third-party partners or by us may be "session" (temporary) or "persistent" ones. "Session" cookies are deleted in an automatic way when you close your browser and are used, for example, to ensure that you are logged in when navigating our Sites. "Persistent" cookies are stored on your device or browser even after you close it. These files are used, for example, to recognize you when you return to our Sites.
Our advertising cookies
We work with third-party partners who place cookies on our Sites to provide their services, such as:
Ad targeting. We collaborate with third-party advertising companies to display advertisements when you visit our Sites, and we allow those companies to place and access their own cookies on your computer. At the same time, they serve ads on our Sites.
These parties may use information obtained through their cookies (which do not include your name, address, email, or phone number) concerning your visits to our Sites and other websites, in combination with data about your acquisitions and interests from other websites, to deliver advertisements about goods and services in which you are interested.
Remarketing tags. We may also share visitors' website usage information with third-party advertising companies to manage and target advertisements and analyze market research on our Sites and other sites. To this end, our third-party advertising companies and we may place pixel tags (so-called "clean GIFs") on certain pages of our Sites. We use the information collected in this way to display relevant advertisements when you visit other websites. These ads may be based on your preferences, such as based on specific searches on our Sites during your previous browsing sessions.
Other Cookies: Our partners who offer certain features or display advertisements on our Sites founded on your browsing activity also use local depository, such as HTML5, to gather and store information about content and preferences. Please note that various web browsers offer their own tools for managing and removing local HTML5 storage.
Mobile devices, anonymous device identifiers, and hashed IDs. We and/or other companies acting on our behalf may collect and store a unique identifier tailored to your mobile device to deliver personalized advertising or matched content while using the application or to browse the internet or otherwise identify you on other devices or in browsers. To customize these ads or content, other companies, or we may collect usage data about you that you have voluntarily offered to us, for example, your email address, or data that has been passively collected, such as device ID or IP address, if allowed. If we share your email address, it is only in encrypted, human-readable form.
